Field Operations Engineer 🖤💀⚙️ Greetings to the friends and colleagues who work in this beautiful area of the O&G industry. 🔥⚠️ A flow station is where the treatment of the crude oil that comes from the exploitation areas or fields, for its subsequent transfer to the nearest unloading station and from there to the main tank yard for reception and pumping of raw. The fundamental objective of Flow Stations in oil production operations is to separate the well fluids at optimal pressures into their three basic components: - Petroleum - Gas - Water The subsequent treatment of hydrocarbons, in order to optimize their processing and marketing (petroleum and gas). The treatment process at the station is carried out through a series of sub-processes; among them we have separation, dehydration, storage pumping, etc. This system begins with the collection of crude oil through the production manifold, which is made up of one or more production heads and another test head. The test head is used to individually isolate the production of a well in order to evaluate it. Once collected in the manifold, the crude oil is sent to the separation stage where it is retained a specific liquid level for a determined time under controlled conditions of pressure and temperature, this in order to separate the lighter hydrocarbons from the heavier ones. Upon leaving this stage, the crude oil goes to dehydration, where the heater system raises its inlet temperature under a process of heat transfer, this in order to achieve a more effective separation between oil and water. As the crude oil advances through the system it reaches the tank farm where it initially passes to an oil and water separation tank, known as a washing tank, and from there it goes to the storage tanks. In low pressure systems (around 70 psi) the gas from the flow stations is supplied to the suction of the compressor stations or is also supplied as fuel. When the gas coming from the separators has High pressures (e.g. 1000 psi) can be supplied directly to artificial lift gas facilities or reservoir gas injection facilities. Can some one explain to me, if I don't have oil & Gass Industry working experience how to join oil and Gass industries as a Construction Engineer, but i have other Projects 13 years experience in Cement industry, Infrastructure, Housing development and Air Craft engineering, when we see ad for job in oil and Gass that they mention should be oil and Gass working experience if these industries didn't give us chance,how we get oil and gas industry job experience?

Drilling into 400-degree molten salt pipelines is no joke. You need special suits to work in these environments. Yesterday, I posted about concentrated solar plants. Well, this is what you deal with when you have to drill into the live lines carrying the oil or molten salt. In this case, our team needed to isolate stuck valves that they could not repair without shutting down the plant. We did this by tapping into the live lines and installing bypasses around the valves.
