Smart Governance in the emerging technologies era.
Just now!!! My participation in dgo2024 in Taipei (Taiwan) presenting a research about the implementation of emerging technologies on citizen participation process and its theoretical support. This research is a first approach to the field, map the most interesting papers on the topic, and provides emerging trends and research gaps that require further attention. All co-authors of the paper (#Laura Alcaíde Muñoz #Miguel Morales Marin) thanks the audience for their interest in the research.

Last Thursday and Friday, I had the privilege of attending and speaking in a panel OECD GFTech's most recent event: "The Human Future: What's on the Horizon?" at their beautiful Paris headquarters. I am deeply grateful to the OECD - OCDE for inviting Girls in Quantum, thus providing a platform for the next generation to learn from and partake in critical discussions on the future avenues and potential of technology.
The OECD Global Forum on Technology brings together the world’s leading innovators and forward-thinking policymakers to explore the opportunities and risks of emerging technologies. It fosters inclusive, values-based discussions to align the development and use of cutting-edge technologies with democratic principles and human rights.
As a student, it was truly insightful to hear from such a diverse array of speakers, each bringing unique perspectives as technology continues to evolve. Every conversation I had with the delegates was incredibly valuable, and connecting with so many brilliant individuals who are passionate about the future has left me feeling optimistic and excited about what lies ahead!
A heartfelt thank you to the OECD GFTech team for their hard work and dedication in curating such an impactful event. The discussions and collaborations from this forum will undoubtedly help shape the governance of emerging technologies to ensure their responsible and inclusive development.
