Great to see the EU championing tech innovation and AI-focused investments! The European Union will spend €1.4 billion (about $1.5 billion) in 2025 to bolster deep tech research and support scale-ups in strategic areas like AI, low-carbon technologies, agritech and biotech. The program offers three core funding tracks: 1.EIC Pathfinder – Focused on early-stage, multidisciplinary research with grants up to €4M to explore ground breaking tech. 2. EIC Transition – Aimed at turning research into marketable innovations, offering grants up to €2.5M. 3. EIC Accelerator – Empowering startups and SMEs to scale and disrupt markets, with investments ranging from €500K to €10M. Additionally, the EIC STEP Scale-Up scheme will provide further funding to high-potential companies in areas critical to the EU’s growth. This is a major opportunity for innovators to push boundaries and fuel Europe’s future tech landscape.
