#fridayvibes Did you know that the word “electron” or ēlektron is Greek for amber? And the Amber effect, one of the earliest known electrostatic effects, dates back to as early as 585 BC, even though the electrons themselves were not known to exist at the time! Imagine introducing a “drab” concept like electrostatics to students through a story that goes back over two millennia. Be it the discussion of the Amber effect, busting the myths surrounding Benjamin Franklin's kite and key experiment, or building electroscopes from scratch to measure electrostatic charges, the learning process should be designed to captivate students’ attention and ignite their interest in subjects traditionally viewed as "tough or boring". The discussions must transcend the final formula required to score in exams, and the outcomes should be more than factual knowledge but a deep understanding of the phenomenon. The result? Students with a keen interest and understanding of the subject, ultimately growing up to be people who are able to think for themselves and apply their knowledge to explore the unknown. By weaving engaging stories, hands-on experiments, and real-world applications into our curriculum, we need to transform challenging subjects into exciting adventures. At STEMonsters Education, we are looking to partner with schools that share our belief in curiosity-driven learning. Together, we can inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators. Our hands-on science and technology learning programs can be implemented during the school hours in a hybrid manner through our comprehensive curriculum for the teachers. Key highlights: • The program can be integrated with the existing curriculum with just 1 hour per week for every grade, during school hours. • The program can be implemented by the teachers through our comprehensive curriculum and teacher training. • Designed with a deep focus on engagement among students and application-oriented learning. Join us in transforming STEM education and making learning an engaging and self-driven adventure.
