These days, it's a tough ride.. So you're not satisfied with the last guy He's left, and then you place that job ad It's vital that you know what you expect exactly. Maybe someone with a great insight of marketing? Food costing? Inventory? In my opinion though, a GM should be able to run the entire business, like the owner would. If you're not looking for that, then it's better to specify the actual role you want instead of just calling titles. Maybe you want a shift manager. A dining room supervisor. It'll help reflect the actual responsibilities. So if you need someone with specific skills, you don't go hiring anyone due of years of experience alone. #restaurantowner
