Interviews & How to Win: Leave a Lasting Impression Doing well in your interview doesn’t come from just answering the questions in the best way. It’s by building rapport with your interviewer, showing who you are, and proving your candidacy. I have paved my way to a total of 5 interviews. 3 of those 5 have been followed up with a second interview. The biggest challenge I felt with each interview was finding how to curate that friendly conversation with my interviewer. Sometimes, the interviewer just wasn’t reciprocating the energy I was trying to move forward. Other times, they reciprocated, and I was able to crack jokes, use some more informal inflection, and in the end, win them over.

Interview Tip: Most interview processes have one or multiple rounds that are conducted virtually. One of the best ways to prep: Send yourself a Teams/Zoom/Google video invite and go into it. Then, almost like prepping in front of the mirror, start reading and answering some interview questions. Why is this helpful? 1. It can help you to calm nerves during an interview 2. This gives you the opportunity to check your lighting, audio, and background to ensure you are showing up how you want to. 3. It will help stop a lot of that pesky trouble shooting/log in issues that often occur with virtual interviews! #interviews #interviewtip #virtualinterviews

My top interview tip: Flip the script. Make it a dialogue. Want to stand out in interviews? Flip the script. Most candidates only prep answers, forgetting interviews should go both ways. And by the end, they often run out of time to ask questions. Here’s how to change that: 1. Ask questions back after answering to make it a real conversation. 2. Show curiosity: It’s not just about “selling” yourself. 3. Be confident: You’re evaluating them, too. So think about your interview as a discovery call. Go in with sharp questions from the start. Don’t wait until the last 5 minutes. What’s your #1 interview tip?

You will fail interviews. And that’s fine. You just have to analyze yourself after each interview and see where you can improve. ❌ Do not dwell on the fact that you were not selected for the final stages. ✅ Just set in stone a structure for your interview and try to be authentic and confident when answering hiring managers' questions. And I know sometimes it is very hard to confidently answer hiring managers' questions during the interview because, in most cases, you will be bombarded with questions that are not designed to showcase your 'superpowers. But eventually you will get better and better after each interview.
