"Strength, Grace, Tradition, and Nobility: A Timeless Connection" In this video, the powerful bond between the falcon and the UAE is gracefully captured in the hands of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. The #Falcon , embodying strength, precision, and heritage, reflects the enduring values and legacy of the #UAE , deeply intertwined with its traditions and connection to the desert. In 2016, the United Arab Emirates collaborated internationally to inscribe falconry on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Recognized by #UNESCO, #Falconry holds a distinguished place in the UAE’s cultural fabric and is safeguarded through dedicated regulations and preservation efforts. Passed down through generations, this ancient tradition exemplifies the UAE’s commitment to protecting the cultural practices that have shaped its national identity and ensuring their continuity for future generations. As the falcon takes flight with grace and purpose, the nation remains deeply rooted in its heritage, skillfully navigating the balance between honoring its past and embracing the opportunities of the future. In this remarkable partnership between man and nature, embodied in the relationship between falcon and keeper, we see a reflection of the UAE’s journey—anchored in its cultural heritage while ever aspiring to greater heights. This harmony between #tradition and #progress, #innovation and timeless #values, mirrors the nation’s path forward. Just as the falcon soars with nobility and strength, the UAE continues to rise, preserving its legacy while confidently reaching for new horizons. #TheIntangibleCulturalHeritageofHumanity

PAYING HOMAGE TO YANN LECUN - IS THIS MEGALOMANIA OR SIMPLY FALSE MODESTY? "Hypocrisy is the homage vice pays to virtue." Francois de La Rochefoucauld INTRODUCTION Yann LeCun is obviously so proud of the action of showing his portrait, that he needs to write a post about it. Wow! I wonder why he did this anyway. Hereby some possible reasons. HIPOCRISY "Hypocrisy is the practice of feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not. Today, "hypocrisy" often refers to advocating behaviors that one does not practice. However, the term can also refer to other forms of pretense, such as engaging in pious or moral behaviors out of a desire for praise rather than out of genuinely pious or moral motivations." https://lnkd.in/erdD9-SX EGOISM "Egoism is a philosophy concerned with the role of the self, or ego, as the motivation and goal of one's own action. Different theories of egoism encompass a range of disparate ideas and can generally be categorized into descriptive or normative forms. That is, they may be interested in either describing that people do act in self-interest or prescribing that they should. Other definitions of egoism may instead emphasise action according to one's will rather than one's self-interest, and furthermore posit that this is a truer sense of egoism." https://lnkd.in/d-XD_xP7 NARCISSISM "Narcissism is a SELF-CENTERED PERSONALITY STYLE characterized as having an excessive preoccupation with oneself and one's own needs, often at the expense of others. Narcissism exists on a continuum that ranges from normal to abnormal personality expression. While many psychologists believe that a moderate degree of narcissism is normal and healthy in humans, there are also more extreme forms, observable particularly in people who are excessively self-absorbed, or who have a mental illness like narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), where the narcissistic tendency has become pathological, leading to functional impairment and psychosocial disability." https://lnkd.in/disZ5vgh NARCISSISTIC PERSONALITY DISORDER "Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder characterized by a life-long pattern of exaggerated feelings of self-importance, an EXCESSIVE NEED FOR ADMIRATION, and a diminished ability to empathize with other people's feelings. Narcissistic personality disorder is one of the sub-types of the broader category known as personality disorders. It is often comorbid with other mental disorders and associated with significant functional impairment and psychosocial disability." https://lnkd.in/dDm-mB44 MY2CENTS 1. The UAE National Day is a powerful reminder of how unity can spark extraordinary progress and prosperity. On December 2, 1971, the vision of the Founding Father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the determination of the leaders of the seven emirates came to fruition as the United Arab Emirates was formed. This unification marked the beginning of a journey that turned a modest federation into one of the most dynamic and ambitious nations in the world. In just over five decades, the UAE has achieved milestones that have amazed the global community. From the discovery of oil in the mid-20th century to the establishment of thriving sectors like trade, tourism, and technology, the country has consistently set benchmarks for growth. The UAE’s unity was further demonstrated during the Mars Hope Probe mission in 2021, making it the first Arab country to reach Mars. This accomplishment symbolizes not just scientific and technological advancements but also the power of collective ambition. As we celebrate UAE National Day, we honor the nation’s remarkable journey of progress fueled by the strength of its unity, the foresight of its leadership, and the resilience of its people. It is a day to reflect on past achievements and look forward to an even brighter future, rooted in the values of collaboration and determination that define the UAE.

Today, we commemorate the 53rd National Day of the United Arab Emirates, a nation that has emerged as a symbol of stability, progress, and prosperity in a region often faced with challenges. Having had the honor of living and working in the UAE, I have personally witnessed the remarkable achievements borne from visionary and prudent leadership. The UAE exemplifies how effective governance can elevate a nascent nation into a global center of commerce, culture, and innovation. Its leadership has illustrated that long-term stability is not only a possibility but a sustainable reality, even amidst complex geopolitical landscapes. The UAE’s approach to modernization is distinctive, demonstrating that progress can be attained without compromising cultural identity. It showcases ongoing commitments to equality, peace, and coexistence, as evidenced by the harmonious living and thriving of residents from over 200 nationalities. Furthermore, the nation’s dedication to ensuring safety and security for all is a notable example of the rational and effective mobilization of resources. These attributes have fostered a social fabric where diversity is not merely accepted but celebrated, offering a valuable model for Islamic nations and the broader world. As we gather to celebrate this significant occasion, we acknowledge the UAE’s impressive milestones in becoming a global leader in attracting investment, tourism, and talent. Its swift, equitable, and adaptive regulatory framework has positioned it as one of the world’s most sought-after destinations for both living and business. Congratulations to the UAE and its people on their 53rd National Day. May the nation continue to serve as a source of inspiration and leadership, guiding others toward stability, progress, and unity.
