This is JOCKER, the latest and truly innovative machine to scarify concrete inside tunnels. It was created with the aim of reducing times and costs of this type of processing. Positioning itself at the center of the tunnel, advances by making passes of one meter width across the entire vault of the tunnel for 220 degrees, after setting the milling depth. The operator carries out all the functions from the remote control and by pressing the "start" button starts the procedure, which automatically processes the entire arch, automatically following the geometry of the vault. When the milling head reaches the end of its stroke, it rotates 180 degrees and starts again in the opposite direction, therefore without downtime. From the experiences made in the tunnels of the A1 motorway between Bologna and Florence, we can say that the machine has high productivity and is easy to use even for inexperienced operators.
