10 years ago we designed and launched Startup Braga. As an entrepreneur, everything I’ve been built throughout the years have been built in “bootstrap mode”, so, any pitch done was directly to a Client. Pitching for a different audience (investors and partners) is something out of my confort zone. And to be out of your confort zone is something amazing - it makes you surprise yourself. The first pitch will not be amazing, nor the second, but after the third it kinda sounds like karate 🥋 Just have to be practiced.

💸 Porto's startups have achieved an outstanding milestone, surpassing 𝟔.𝟒 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 between July 1, 2021, and December 31, 2023, as reported in Startup Genome's Global Startup Ecosystem Report (GSER) 2024, unveiled at London Tech Week. 💹 This remarkable growth of 𝟓𝟑% 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐨'𝐬 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦, compared to the period from July 1, 2019, to December 31, 2021, has propelled the city into the elite 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 for the first time. Espanha continua a “bombar” nas startups, (apesar das críticas destrutivas que a política produz todas as semanas). “With approximately 11,000 active startups in 2022, and extraordinary investment numbers, the technology entrepreneurship ecosystem continues to accelerate its growth and strengthen its place among the most important in Europe. A unique feature of the Spanish ecosystem among its European peers is that there are two main hubs, Barcelona and Madrid, among a large group of cities and regions that are successfully fostering technology startups, like Valencia, Bilbao or Malaga, to name just the larger ones”.
