Why is it that women founders often downplay their accomplishments, while male founders boldly claim success even when they've had multiple startups fail? This has to change. We often feel like we haven’t made it unless we’ve secured funding. We need to stop this. Our worth isn’t about funding. Both our wins and our losses are important and deserve recognition. I literally was just commenting about this on someone else’s feed! Recognizing wins is SOOO hard, especially when you feel like it’s a rat race or you haven’t met “THE” milestones that make you a”successful” founder. I’ve been working to celebrate my accomplishments, but how do you celebrate the failures or roadblocks? It’s so easy to feel like a failure instead of taking it as a learning experience.
Saw a post the other day that said, “we cheer for runners from the start of the race all the way to the finish line. You deserve support and celebration along your journey too.” It really hit home for me.
Hey lady!!! Great to see you active and preach!!!!
This is brilliant
