Coach Brett Vavra and his dedicated staff have poured their hearts into this program, and the impact is nothing short of remarkable. As someone who grew up within this programs embrace, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power it holds for young men. Football isn't just a game; it's a classroom where nearly 100 young men learn the most important lessons life has to offer. An entire ecosystem of growth and opportunity. Teaching loyalty, teamwork, resilience, goal-setting, and accountability—qualities that are sadly scarce in today's world. For many, football is their lifeline. Without the guidance and support of their teammates and coaches, far too many would find themselves lost in the world of darkness that exists off the field and outside the classroom. Your contribution isn't just an investment in a football program; it's an investment in the future of these boys. HISTORIC: Washington Spirit owner Michelle Kang has pledged $30 million to U.S. Soccer over the next five years. The investment will help identify emerging talent and support professional development for women soccer players, coaches, and officials. ⁠ Per the announcement, this is the “largest philanthropic investment in U.S. Soccer’s women’s and girls’ programs and the most generous donation ever made to U.S. Soccer by a woman.”⁠ ⁠ The grant will permit the U.S. Soccer Federation to accomplish several objectives, like doubling the number of national team camps, expanding its digital talent identification program, and providing mentorship to those identified as potential leaders in the sport of soccer.⁠ ⁠ Earlier this year, Kang promised $4 million to the U.S. women’s rugby program following its Olympic success.⁠
