If you take in mind holiday pay, bank holiday pay, work place pension, travel, digs………even £30 an hour that puts you on roughly £20 an hour, when you take off the paye “benefits”. Then there is the fact you need to provide all your own tools and PPE. So many lads are un aware of these pitfalls. They don’t realise they are actually working for far less. Saving the company money, they can just tap you on the shoulder and say “ your no long needed” no job safety. This rate equates to roughly £16 an hour. If your going to work cis or limited you need to be aware of all these factors.
