𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝗯! 📰✏️💡 I got to write an article about a cool technology: processing rare earths ⬇️⬇️⬇️ 𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺? Usually I am busy with Hosokawa Alpine's 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀, 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 or 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀. However, now and again I get to do 'classical' 𝗣𝗥 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀, which used to be my background as a student worker 👨🎓 Now that my job shifted towards strategical communication (which is very nice ngl) I am very happy to publish articles once in a while - especially when it comes to such a cool tech-topic. 𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘥𝘰 𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘶𝘴? Rare earths are used in all sorts of magnets - from 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 to 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘆 and 𝗲-𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 🧲 𝘖𝘬, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘳𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘴? Rare earths are metals and alloys that are, well... 𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗲. Not only are they rare in number but also in places they can be mined at (mostly China). This means two issues: 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 (economical) and usage/exploitation of 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 (ecological). 🌐⛏️ By processing the rare earths, that are already in use we can 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗲 these crucial materials and 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 to these ressources 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆 ♻️📈 As of now, it is a growing market that tends to gain significance. For me this a great chance to see an emerging and promising technology from the start and support it on a communication-level.
