The impact of AI on podcasting is undeniable. It's now possible to turn text into podcasts—an exciting development, but one that raises questions about the authenticity that makes podcasts so engaging. On my podcast, Tom Schwab offers great perspective: while AI promises big changes, its most practical use today is in content repurposing. Imagine a 45-minute interview with a CEO transformed turned into a series of LinkedIn posts, blog articles, YouTube clips, and more. For busy executives, it’s a game-changer, allowing their ideas to reach farther without more time commitments. AI tools like Descript, for example, can summarize episodes, draft show notes, and generate social media snippets, reducing the manual workload significantly. The result? More time for creative focus and greater content reach without losing the human touch that audiences crave. This strategic use of AI can also help podcasts maintain authenticity, ensuring that while AI may do the heavy lifting, the voice and personality behind each episode is front and center. For brands considering with podcasts or exploring them, focusing on repurposing and content expansion is a great way drive distribution and ROI. The other day someone said that the difficulty with podcasts is to maintain it, not starting it. Is that right Mark Evans?
The best moments in a podcast happen when both sides improvize, not when it’s all scripted
💯
Or, podcasts into articles and text! 😉
Mark Evans Amazing video and discussion! It’s true that AI has captured everyone’s attention. There are many promises, but as I see it, right now AI is mainly being used for content repurposing and time optimization 🤘🏻

3wRepurposing and distributing content is such a massive pain point. This is a no-brainer for leveraging AI...especially for small teams. I will say though I tried that Google tool where you upload a PDF and it turns it into a podcast convo between the male & female co-hosts...it was pretty wild. One of the most natural and realistic conversations I've heard from AI audio. I uploaded my services deck for Map & Fire and they broke it all down for 5 minutes. Pretty surreal. 😅
