Only one month until the abstract submission deadline for CSChE 2024 conference... https://lnkd.in/gBSkajeZ You have until May 6 at 11:59 PM ET to submit your abstract. Don't miss the opportunity to learn new approaches to your work, network with leaders in your field, and celebrate the achievements of your peers at the premier conference for chemical engineering in Canada. New this year: Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Symposium. Description The Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Commercialization (IE&C) Symposium at CSChE 2024 is an opportunity for conference attendees – especially those from industry – to share ideas and experiences related to the development and commercialization of new technologies and products, with a special focus on areas related to chemical engineering. General topics include: -Turning new technologies into commercial products -Incubating, accelerating, and growing small companies in Canada -Developing, protecting, and licensing intellectual property -Navigating government regulations and incentives related to new technology development and deployment -Case studies related to innovation, entrepreneurship, and commercialization in chemical engineering This symposium will consist of submitted and invited talks, panel discussions, and posters. We welcome contributions from anyone working in this area.

Extracellular matrices (ECMs) are foundational to all biological systems and naturally evolved as an intersection between living systems and active materials. Despite extensive study, research on ECMs often overlooks their structural material complexity and systemic roles. The symposium aims to present the newest research from a materials science viewpoint, emphasising the ECM's highly variable compositions, multiscale organizations, dynamic changes of mechanical properties, and water interactions.
