Parents, and maybe in several instances, those we have caring for our children while at work. These statements always seem to focus on what the parents are doing, but so many of us have to work and haven't the advantage of being with our children during the day. Ultimately, we are responsible, of course, but the choices can be quite limited when selecting childcare, especially infant care when so much happens in the developing psyche we can't even measure it at this point! So, let's look at childcare 0-5 years and 6-12years, before the world of friends and others become the classroom when not in school. How do we make quality care more available? How do we pay for it if we are single income and need to work? How do disabled people handle this challenge? I've heard this slogan so many times and today, for whatever reason, I had to respond -- things just aren't that easy, or that binary: home/school!
