It is celebrating successes and reminding all of us that there is POWER in the pause (the brilliant Sophie Devonshire⚡️impactful reminder). This is a great time to spend time thinking about our year, individually and collectively. 3 key take aways.... 🌱 We have just 170 days left in 2024, when we reflect what do we notice? 🌱 When we celebrate our achievements what do we want to accelerate? 🌱 What do we aim to be different Dec 24 v 23, and do we have our how? 🚀 Gearing Up for a Month of Milestones and Masteries! 🚀 Is it really almost Friday? Time truly flies when you’re immersed in planning and progressing! As I glance over my calendar, plotting out the month ahead, it’s clear there’s hardly a moment to spare. The coming weeks are packed with events that promise to be both exciting and enriching: • Kicking things off with The Hill Club spring-ish networking event next Thursday, where connections are made and ideas flourish. 🌱 • Followed by a night of laughter and camaraderie at Bridge Recruitment FM Comedy Night on Monday, 15th. 🎤 • And the installation of the wonderful lorraine Larman CMIOSH FBICSc as the new master of the The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners on the 19th, marking a momentous occasion in our industry. 🎩 • Amidst these engagements, we’re also onboarding several new contracts, lots of new Tennant Company Floorcare machines and gearing up for our ISO NQA audit—a testament to our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. The phenomenal performance of both our depots has exceeded my expectations, a clear reflection of the dedication and hard work our teams invest daily. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed, as evidenced by the incredible feedback from our recent Customer Satisfaction survey. This feedback is gold, I t’s the fuel that drives us to supercharge our products and services even further. As we step into this bustling month, I’m reminded of the power of community and friendship, the importance of continuous improvement, and the impact of positive feedback. 🌟 **Incredible Turnout at Our First Ever MBE2MBE Matchmaking Event!** 🌟 We are thrilled to announce the success of our inaugural MBE2MBE Matchmaking event, hosted by Disney Procurement and Supplier Diversity! Within just three weeks, we registered 60 participants and facilitated 28 matchmaking sessions. This fantastic engagement underscores the power of collaboration and the importance of creating opportunities for diverse small businesses. One of the many highlights was the immediate contracting opportunities secured onsite. Alpha Power Group, LLC and Interglobal Logistics Corp. collaborated on a new transportation contract. This is just the beginning of many fruitful partnerships we anticipate monitoring and supporting, as we prepare to do it again in the Fall. A special thank you to Florida State Minority Supplier Development Council (FSMSDC) The Walt Disney Company and Xelsior Empowerment Group for their sponsorship and unwavering commitment to elevating our MBE’s. This is the High Performance Team Event we ran… To close out the year and because so much of our team is virtual we had to think outside of the box. We brought in a Grammy Nominated, Oprah’s 100 List, Star Aligned, World Class Poet: IN-Q ..to run an event that truely made our team dig deeper than we normally would with the people that we work alongside. This is what Team Building & DRIVING CULTURE is all about! The first step to creating a strong event is to get 100% clear on the purpose and outcome of what you are trying to achieve by running it. This should be well thought through while considering where the business is currently at, and where it needs to go (both long-term vision and short-term goals). When executed well, this type of activity will: • Strengthen culture and build relationships within your team • Help problem solve how the team can accomplish and hit goals for the rest of the year • Be a cost-effective way to reward your team • Get work done, increase skill, and update your team while having fun at the same time A Business is only as good as the people that work its systems. Culture is the driving force behind a successful business.
