Our Chancellor has asked us to avoid unnecessary travel. Why I have still travelled though: 1. Personal Responsibility first Avoiding a new lockdown requires responsibility: Of course wear a mask, keep the distance and reduce contacts. But personal responsibility remains important to me. After evaluating all the circumstances, I think my trip to #Greece is in line with my personal responsibility. 2 Greece is safer than Berlin Berlin is one of the hotspots of infection. Greece is not. Except for the flight and airport bus (while wearing mask), I have fewer contacts here than in Berlin. 3. Responsibility towards the Industry Besides personal responsibility and responsibility for other people, I also feel responsibility towards the tourism industry, for which I have worked all my life. Autumn holidays are an urgently needed contribution to the survival of many tourism companies. 4 Why Greece Apart from the prohibition of accommodation, I could have spent my holidays in Germany. However, since I myself promote the #incoming to #Brandenburg from neighbouring European countries... 5. I simply like travelling And last but not least: I love travelling, Corfu is an absolutely beautiful and sunny island and the temperature is 23 degrees.
