Dear Network, on the 20th and 21st of November, after an extended COVID hiatus, the 11th #Conference on #Bridges in the #Danube Basin will take place at Technische Universität München. We would greatly appreciate many abstracts. Especially in times when the world seems to drift apart, building bridges, both literally and metaphorically, is crucial. Let us use the bridges over the great European river as a pathway for professional exchange and further integration of Europe and the World! The general scope of the conference is bridge engineering. Papers related to the following topics are welcome: - Large Span Danube Bridges, Innovative Bridge Structures - Sustainable Maintenance and Rehabilitation - New trends in Bridge Engineering, Bridge Dynamics and Monitoring - Planning & Construction for Traffic Infrastructure - BIM and general Digital Methods in Bridge Design and Construction - Sustainable Bridges, Life-Cycle and Bridge Management We are looking forward to receiving many interesting presentation proposals from science to application and kindly invite you to submit abstracts by June 15, 2024! I also would be very happy, if you spread this post into your professional network! More detailled information you can find here: https://lnkd.in/eYEKRgRT

🌟 Exciting Insights at the National Conference on Futuristic Structural Engineering powered by IAStructE HQ🌟 I recently had the privilege to attend the National Conference on Futuristic Structural Engineering, and it was truly an enriching experience! The conference offered a platform to delve into some of the most critical and innovative topics shaping the future of structural engineering. I particularly enjoyed engaging discussions on: 🔹 Seismic Analysis – Exploring cutting-edge techniques to enhance structural resilience against earthquakes. 🔹 Sustainable Engineering – Strategies and technologies paving the way for eco-friendly and sustainable infrastructure. These discussions have further fueled my passion for contributing to the future of structural engineering, aligning with my personal goal of creating innovative, sustainable, and resilient structures. A big thank you to the organizers, speakers, and fellow attendees for such a thought-provoking and inspiring event. Looking forward to applying these insights in real-world projects and continuing the journey toward a smarter and more sustainable future. 🌍 #StructuralEngineering #SeismicAnalysis #Sustainability #Innovation #FutureGoals

The Journal of Smart Construction is a new journal. I am one of the editors and would like to diversify construction research through special issues—the one shared here is one of them: "Construction Site Monitoring and Optimization using Digital Twins." We plan to have more special issues to stimulate thinking and connect researchers in lifeline science and engineering, infrastructure and structural engineering, building science, AI and construction, and future cities. Welcome submissions and proposals of special issues.
