I love this time of year in ecommerce. Right before BFCM- pressure is on. Timelines are tight. Stress levels are elevated. There’s high urgency all around. It forces people into ACTION. Mamba mentality I checked in on our #first-sale channel in Slack, where we track how long it takes for a brand to get their first sale using a Rebuy feature and saw an epic streak of Shopify brands generating their first sale super quick with Rebuy Engine: 13 days🚀 6 days 🔥 3 hours 🤯 Big stores, medium stores, small stores. One of the biggest mistakes I see Shopify brands doing over BFCM is not breaking down BFCM into BF-N-CM Why? Urgency Shoppers are naturally more inclined to act when they feel that time is running out Instead of having 1 countdown (for the entire BFCM) → Show 2 countdowns (72hrs for BF and 48hrs for CM) I remember the first countdown test I ran, it increased our Conversion Rate by 13% Worried countdowns and urgency are not on brand? 1. Try to think of it like this: BFNCM is like halloween for brands. This is the time that you can play pretend and be more salesy and no one will think less of your brand. Especially in 2024 2.
