Yesterday, I had the incredible opportunity to work with Prime Jet during their quarterly EOS meeting. Andrew Gulsrud, a key member of the leadership team, reached out to me after I had the opportunity of presenting to his Key group at a Vistage event chaired by the compassionate and caring Gary Brennglass. We immediately connected over the concept of Positive Intelligence—the idea of making your mind a friend rather than an enemy—and how these strategies lay the foundation for resilience in both personal and organizational growth.
During our two-hour session, we articulated and built a set of Community Agreements designed to empower the senior leadership team. These agreements define how they want to show up for one another, creating a shared sense of accountability, trust, and purpose. It was a collaborative and inspiring process that resulted in something concrete and actionable.
After the session, I crafted a Community Agreements slide for them to use moving forward. As a little surprise, I included an additional agreement based on how much they impressed me:
Idealism – We don’t just believe Prime Jet can be the best; we act with purpose and creativity to make it so.
Prime Jet is a group of phenomenally dedicated and caring individuals who have come together to build a company grounded in a growth mindset and a customer-centered focus. It’s rare to see such a tight-knit team with such a clear commitment to excellence.
During the session, we also practiced the art of leaving one another better than we found each other. By acknowledging and seeing the positive character traits in each other, we created a space of mutual respect, support, and growth. These seemingly small acts build the muscles of resilience and inspire leadership to take bold, innovative actions.
It was truly an honor to be part of this journey. I never take for granted the trust companies like Prime Jet put in me and PEQ Performance Consulting LLC when they invite us in to help them climb to their next level of success. The partnership we create is what helps drive their continuous growth and peak performance.
