Discussing with WRGB CBS6 the continuing hospital staffing shortages in Upstate and rural NYS. Things may be slightly improved, but with RN vacancy rates still 50% higher than they were pre-pandemic there is a long road ahead. https://lnkd.in/efHFnT-6

This isn't just a number. 74-81% of specialist positions in our community health centers sit empty today. This isn't just a number. Walking through hospitals daily, I see something that worries me deeply. Our doctors, nurses and medical staff are struggling and the numbers tell a shocking story: → 8 out of 10 specialist positions in community health centers remain unfilled → Doctors now handle patient loads meant for 2-3 people → Nurses working double shifts has become the new normal → Basic patient care is getting delayed due to staff shortages The human cost? → Burnt-out healthcare workers leaving the field → Longer wait times for patients → Stressed medical staff making tough choices daily → Quality family time becoming rare for medical professionals This isn't just about statistics. It's about real people - both patients and healthcare workers. While we work on long-term solutions like training more professionals, we need to look at ways to help our existing staff work smarter, not harder. Simple changes like better scheduling, less paperwork and smarter systems can give back precious hours to our medical teams. Every minute saved on paperwork is a minute given back to patient care. P.S. - If your hospital team is facing similar challenges, DM me. Let's talk about practical ways to make your team's life easier. Sometimes, small changes can make a big difference. #HealthcareHeroes #MedicalStaff #HealthcareCrisis #HospitalLife #Automation
