from my experience, they can have major issues. I purchased a granturismo two months ago and within the first week it broke down. Then again the same issue occurred three days after getting it back from repair. After complaining to the dealer, I was contacted by Maserati customer service with demeaning phone calls and emails. I asked to speak to Robert Souril, the head of Maserati Canada but they would not connect us-they try to protect him as if hes an untouchable god. Even my dealership could not get him to call me and discuss the situation. After much complaining I was contacted by Beth-in charge of customer service North America-and had several discussions. Ultimately she just towed the party line and regurgitated the same spew Robert told the dealership-they would not take the car back-leaving me with a 300000 $ lemon. This only confirms to me that Maserati executive see a lot of similar issues. Even my attempts to contact Kelly Macdonald, the CEO of maserati north america went unanswered. There are plenty of luxury car brands that back their product. Maserati will not have your back-so please ensure that your state or province has solid lemon laws before you consider a Maserati.

5moReally impressive and great to see what positive steps Maserati has made, to remain relevant, while retaining its Italian originality, design and flamboyance. I bought my first Maserati in the late nineties, a 4.24v. It had some unique features. It was never certain that the radio would work, it was completely random after switching on the ignition. Does it work, or not? Sometimes when turning right, the horn sounded, also randomly, after which I apologized to other cars by making hand signals (not the famous Italian hand signal). The needle of the speedometer in this model was notorious for getting stuck. It would work again after driving over a bump, but only with sufficient speed. The famous golden clock also worked randomly, but is was beautiful to look at. The air-conditioning worked brilliantly, the faster I drove the better. The heating and defroster though, were not up to their task in Holland, it felt a bit like a sneezing mouse. The electric windows sometimes needed manual assistance to close. I LOVED IT! Every drive! Every drive I had a smile, and many around me in and outside the car too. Wood, leather, Alcantara, blistering performance, great sound, it was so special and fun. Wish I still had it. A Maserati!
