We wrap up National Apprenticeship Week with a spotlight on Hailey Parker, an Air Force veteran and college graduate whose story is a testament to the power of strong benefits in attracting women to the construction industry. Hailey had many career options open to her when she chose to become an apprentice with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 43 in Syracuse. She wanted a guaranteed job — and she wanted insurance. The apprenticeship gave her both.
