During operation the pressing machine does not generate any vibrations. As the pressing machine presses the piles into the ground, rather than vibrating or hammering, the ground is not disturbed and the impact on the surroundings is almost zero. How suspension bridges cables are made? Suspension bridges are complex engineering structures, characterised by their ability to cover large distances through the use of cables. These cables, usually made of steel, are essential elements: they support the weight of the entire structure and the forces acting on it, such as traffic and wind. The main cables are anchored to giant pylons and at the ends of the bridge, creating a balance of forces that allows the weight to be evenly distributed. Each main cable consists of thousands of high-strength steel wires, braided to ensure both flexibility and robustness, making it possible to build bridges with extremely long lights. 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 FLI recently completed a 40m tower installation in Rural England using Helicopter Assisted Installation, captured below in a 1-minute video. This 48-hour project faced challenges, including the time-consuming process of securing splice plates and the need for extensive temporary steelwork, which added complexity and increased on-site risks. 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻? We redesigned the splice plates in-house with our team of engineers, welding flanges directly to the tower leg ends and eliminating the need for temporary steelwork. This modification reduced installation time by 50% and significantly improved safety by minimizing on-site risks. FLI's innovative approach is setting a new standard in helicopter-assisted tower installations. Now here's something you don't see everyday. If you've been in construction long enough, you may have seen roof top units (RTU's) lifted and placed on top of large buildings via helicopter, when bringing in a crane capable of making that lift is just not practical. You may have seen concrete placed via bucket on the end of a crane. However, I have never before seen concrete placed via helicopter.
