Yesterday, we wrapped up another successful Wildlife Identification Training session with Changi Airport Group. Our Wildlife Ecologists, Juliana Chan and Sam Lievense, highlighted the group's enthusiastic and engaging participation. The training featured a mix of classroom learning and practical field exercises, allowing participants to showcase their bird identification skills and practice dispersal techniques in real-world scenarios. A highlight was seeing the group identifying different species flawlessly. We also had the opportunity to watch Simon Newbold expertly disperse a flock of birds. Thank you to the CAG team for their collaboration and commitment to enhancing wildlife hazard management practices! #AviationSafety #WildlifeHazardManagement #Training #ChangiAirport #CAG #Mastermark

🌿🦊 Exciting Wildlife Moment Captured! 🦊🌿 Incredible footage captured by our Prowild wildlife detection system reveals a rare sight: a fox gracefully scaling a fence! Witnessing this agile creature navigate its way over the barrier is truly remarkable, and it's possible this moment has never been captured on film before. What makes this encounter even more fascinating is the realization that had the fox ventured just 20 meters back, it could have effortlessly passed through an open gap in the fence instead of resorting to climbing. Prowild underscores the effectiveness of our wildlife detection system in facilitating safe animal crossings. Moreover, our system has consistently proven its effectiveness, boasting a remarkable track record in drastically reducing collision rates. Its reliability in safeguarding both wildlife and motorists is a testament to its exceptional performance. At Prowild, we're dedicated to creating solutions that harmonize human activities with the natural world. Witnessing moments like these reminds us of the importance of conservation efforts and the role technology can play in fostering coexistence between humans and wildlife. #WildlifeConservation #Prowild #Nature #Innovation #WildlifeCrossing #Fox #FenceTraversal #wilddetectie #wildwarn #wildwechsel #WDS #RADS #ADDWS #wildwaarschuwing

As a certified wildlife biologist, I urge Colorado voters to vote NO on Proposition 127. This measure would ban hunting and management tools crucial for maintaining balanced and healthy predator populations in our state. Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) has managed mountain lion populations successfully for decades using science-based methods, and these decisions should remain in the hands of wildlife professionals—not determined by ballot box initiatives. Ballot box wildlife management undermines the expertise and knowledge of agencies like CPW, which are equipped with the necessary data and experience to make informed decisions. Proposition 127 would not only hinder CPW’s ability to manage predator populations effectively but would also remove essential tools used to minimize human-wildlife conflicts. Exciting developments in road safety and wildlife conservation! 🦌🚗 In the video: a group of wild boars patiently waiting at the roadside, after having triggered the Prowild wildlife detection system by passing through an infrared beam. 🌟 Thanks to this well developed technology, LED signs along the road light up, alerting drivers to their presence. 🚦 Cars slow down, giving these animals safe passage across the road. Without it, the risk of collision would be much higher. At Prowild, we understand that different locations have unique challenges. That's why we offer a range of techniques tailored to local conditions. From infrared detection to other cutting-edge solutions, we're committed to enhancing road safety and protecting wildlife worldwide. A recent potential wolf sighting in Nevada had wildlife enthusiasts buzzing, but the mystery has now been solved through good old-fashioned science! Here are the fascinating details: 📸 In March, a helicopter crew spotted 3 wolf-like animals roaming near Merritt Mountain, sparking an investigation by the Nevada Department of Wildlife. 🧫 Biologists collected hair, fecal, and urine samples believed to be from the creatures for DNA testing at two independent labs. 🚨 The results? It was 99.9% certain that the "wolves" were actually coyotes, common residents of Nevada! 🐺 While disappointing for wolf spotters, the case highlights the importance of accurate species identification to protect ecosystems. This saga reminds us that nature often holds surprises, and sometimes, first impressions can be deceiving. Kudos to the wildlife experts for their diligent investigative work! 👏 Have you ever mistaken one animal for another in the wild?
