Learned something cool recently about skin health – and it involves fish of all things. You are curious right? Here it goes! Not everyone knows this, but those omega-3s in your fish? They're basically like internal moisturizer for your skin and aren't just good for your heart. They help reduce inflammation, lock in moisture and keep your skin barrier strong! Mind blowing right? Quick personal hack: I try to eat fish twice a week. Nothing fancy, just smoked or fried (with garri🤫) My skin seems to appreciate it! Is acne a constant on your face? Or you have a dull looking skin? Incorporate more fatty fish in your diets! Small changes, real results. That's the kind of wellness advice I'm here for! The skin on our lips is much thinner and more delicate than the rest of our face, which is why it requires extra care and attention. Unlike other areas, our lips don’t have oil glands, making them more susceptible to dryness and cracking. That's why it's so important to nourish them with the right ingredients. I love using products with shea butter, which is a rich, natural moisturizer that deeply hydrates and protects the skin. Beeswax is another great ingredient that acts as a natural barrier, locking in moisture and soothing dry lips. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps repair and nourish, while jojoba oil balances hydration and keeps lips soft and supple. One of my favorite tips is to gently exfoliate your lips once or twice a week to remove dead skin and allow these nourishing ingredients to fully absorb. And don’t forget—just like the rest of your skin, your lips need SPF protection, especially when you're out in the sun!
