McIntosh Laboratory, Inc. expert Ken Zelin answers an end users question; "I am thinking about adding a turntable to my system, are there any special considerations for this?" https://lnkd.in/gZ2wbBAm Ken answers explaining that you need to have a phono input on your system since a turn table puts out a much weaker signal strength than a CD Player or a Streamer. A turntable needs a special boost and that is what the phono input on your system provides. If you do not have a phono input you can purchase a separate phono preamp that will hook up between your turntable and will connect to your system. A second consideration is that your turntable should be at least several feet away from your speakers. That way you will not get speaker vibration getting back into your turntable and get re-amplified again. If you cannot get it placed further away, you may want to consider isolation feet under your turntable that will absorb the vibration.
