The Holidays are upon us, and many workplaces are starting their Holiday Party Planning. They are decorating, planning Secret Santa or Yankee Swap events, thinking about festive foods and otherwise getting into the Holiday Spirit. But what about your Team Members who don't celebrate Christmas? People like me, who celebrate Hannukah? Or Eid? Or Kwanzaa? Or the many other Festivals which occur between American Thanksgiving and the middle of January? Or the Team Members who observe Christmas, but don't celebrate it in the same way? Are your Holiday Festivities inclusive of their way of Observance and/or Celebration? Or is your company leaning heavily into the Christian or Secular Christmas Celebrations? This is a great opportunity for everyone to learn about other Holidays, and their traditions. Inclusion is growth and making your Team stronger. Happy Holidays to those who celebrate, and respect to those who observe their Holidays.

Festival That Unites the World Christmas is a celebration that transcends geography and religion, truly uniting people across the globe. Regardless of where we come from or what we believe, most of us share a connection to this festive season. Whether it’s through a friend, neighbor, or loved one celebrating Christmas, we all become part of an extended family, making it The Global Festival. Christmas symbolizes hope, unity, and the promise of a brighter future. Beyond its cultural significance, it also drives the global economy in remarkable ways. For example: In 2021, Christmas decorations were estimated to generate $6.8 billion in revenue. In the UK, December 2024 saw record supermarket sales, with consumers spending approximately £13.7 billion. Imagine the revenue generated by transport as millions travel home to be with loved ones. From e-commerce giants to small vendors creating handcrafted decorations, Christmas breathes life into businesses and livelihoods worldwide. It fosters a sense of brotherhood, empowering communities and spreading joy. As the lights shine brighter this season, let us embrace the spirit of peace, harmony, and unity. Together, we can make the world a better place, celebrating each other and cherishing our shared humanity. Merry Christmas! 🎄✨

A Christmas Memory: Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone The early days of my career were marked by the vibrant Christmas parties at Bay Street—a whirlwind of activities that invited me, an introvert, to step outside of my comfort zone. I recall the atmosphere of celebration, with parties unfolding one after another, each offering its own unique charm. Some colleagues formed a team of party enthusiasts, seamlessly moving from one gathering to another, -invited and uninvited-, embracing the magic of the season with lucky draws, magical performances, and spontaneous conversations. For me, those were the classic Christmas gatherings—unpredictable yet full of warmth, laughter, and connection. At the time, I took a risk. Despite my introverted nature, I allowed myself to be part of these lively events, pushing past my natural inclinations to celebrate and connect. It became a memory that remains forever in my heart—a moment of growth, of daring to be part of a bigger story. Now, years later, I’ve returned to a quieter, more peaceful state of being, finding joy in the moments that nourish my soul. But the lessons from those Christmas parties still resonate. They remind me that we are not defined by our personalities; with openness and a willingness to try, we have the power to become whoever we choose. When was the last time you took a risk to grow? What did you discover about yourself? #CareerGrowth #TakeRisks #Reflection #GrowthMindset #ChristmasMemories
