Today is a special day for Matterwave Ventures´ Portfolio Company Equal1 - the company announced unmatched spin qubit performance close to the error correction threshold, measured at 700mK. They were able to obtain single-qubit gate fidelities of 99.4% and two-qubit gate fidelities of 98.4% on a scaleble 6-qubit array fabricated using a SiGe CMOS-compatible process. This is a leap forward for the industry and for spin qubits in particular. Congratulations, Jason Lynch and team! This result adds to a long track record of achievements - for example the recent integration of Arm Cortex processors at cryogenic temperatures - which are accelerating the path to scalable quantum system, by leveraging established #silicon #semiconductor industry infrastructure. Breaking Barriers in Quantum Chip Testing: 20 mm movement at 10 milliKelvin! We are excited to share a groundbreaking achievement that redefines the possibilities of quantum chip testing. Together with QuantWare, we successfully demonstrated that our Cryomag Linear Positioner was able to make 20 mm steps in about 1 second in a Bluefors dilution fridge at 10 milliKelvin. Movement at this ultra-cold temperature is not only a technical achievement but also a testament to our commitment to innovation. We are pushing the boundaries of what is possible. We believe this breakthrough will pave the way for efficient, full scale quantum chip testing. Stay tuned for how we‘re supporting the quantum computing industry. Together we can make the impossible possible! #quantum #quantumcomputing #cryogenicchipprobing #probestation

Electron spins in silicon quantum dot platform provide great potential forquantum information processing due to excellent physical properties and modernfabrication technologies. Spin-based quantum bit (qubit) operations areintensively studied to realize universal logic gates with a high fidelity, fastgating operations, and basic programmability. Although recent experimentalachievements can be considered as remarkable results for utilizing quantumcomputation, more advanced quantum information protocols should be demonstratedwith a large number of qubit system to enable programmability of silicondevices. Here, we computationally explore entanglement-based quantuminformation protocols in electrically defined five silicon quantum dot system. To this end, device simulations are employed to demonstrate 1-qubit gate and2-qubit gate operations. Additionally, we discuss the implementations ofthree applications: the generation of magic states, entanglement swapping, andquantum teleportation in our silicon device. All the results will secure thescalability of quantum information processing with electron spin qubits insilicon quantum dot system. #QuantumInformationProcessing #SiliconQuantumDot #QubitOperations #DeviceSimulations #EntanglementBasedProtocols

#quantumcomputing is not an island, it is part of a bigger solution, to which also existing players like NVIDIA contributes. Dr. Yonatan Cohen from Quantum Machines, said: “The main problem with quantum processors today is that they’re noisy and there are lots of errors.” His partnership with NVIDIA to build the DGX Quantum system aims to address these errors by improving the interaction between quantum processors and classical computing power. https://lnkd.in/dz6xHahb Also interesting post mentioning Jin-Sung Kim, Katie Klymko, Nate Gemelke https://lnkd.in/dyBHFrD3 #quantum #hpc
