It's been a journey watching my idea for Pangea come to life over the past few years, and our most recent release is the culmination of the original vision. We're NOT social media, we're a tool to help you spend time off your phone and with your people in awesome new places IRL. Pangea lets you keep track of where your people WILL BE in the FUTURE making it easier to keep in touch when people pass through your city and plan trips together. We allow you to share your favorite rec's for restaurants, cafes, and more from around the world (think Google Reviews but only from people you trust), and track all the cities, states and countries you've been helping your friends know who to ask for rec's when they're planning a trip. THIS is the app I wish I had for years while traveling as it simplifies planning and makes it so easy to sync plans and proactively make serendipity happen. As someone who spend's a lot of time on the planning & traveling, I can't stress enough how helpful Pangea has been. Big thanks to Alex DiVecchio for giving me the push to make Pangea a reality and helping revamp the original UI, Hitesh Dua for building the Alpha POC and introducing me to Yamini Chhabra who is one of the most talented engineers I've had the privilege of working with, and has brought the app from a simple closed prototype to a publicly available product. And of course THANK YOU to all our early users and advisors who have supported us along this journey, we certainly could not have done it without you! Excited to finally see the full vision come to life in the hands of many new users, and for Pangea's next chapter as we build on this foundation and continue to innovate in the travel social space.
