DO YOUR HOMEWORK Cleaning out my office closet and came across some notebooks from pilot training. Military aviation is populated with inherent risks, some of which are just simply beyond your control. I could be done in by a man who was better at shooting missiles than I was at dodging them. I could be done in by sheer misfortune that put me on the wrong side of luck. I would never accept that someone would hand my wife a folded flag because I showed up to the fight unprepared. Amateurs complain about things they cannot control. Professionals commit themselves to the things they can. #leadership

4. Elevate yourself above the battle field. In war, strategy is the art of commanding the entire military operation. Tactics is the skill of forming up the battle itself and dealing with the immediate needs of the battle field. To have the power that only strategy can bring, you must be able to elevate yourself above the battle field,to focus on your long term objectives,to craft an entire campaign,to get out of the reactive mode that so many battles in life lock you into. Strategist are light on their feet and can see far and wide. #ability

Mr. Mark Mitcham, Ecosystem Integrator for the Future Vertical Lift-Cross Functional Team participated in a panel during the U.S. Army Network Technical Exchange Meeting (TEM) 12 in Philadelphia, Pa. The network is the Army’s number one transformation priority. TEM 12 provided an opportunity for Industry and Army Network Stakeholders to have a technical and operational discussion on all things Network related. Mitcham specifically spoke about the #FVLCFT effort to help with range extension and tactical networking requirements as they apply to the Aerial Tier Network Extension (ATNE). #FVLCFT is working the requirements through persistent experimentation and operational exercise integration in several Indo-Pacific opportunities. “The experimentation and demonstration of aerial tier communications capabilities with operational units has clearly shown both the improvement to the performance, reliability, and resiliency that it adds to the tactical network and the need to expand the battlefield geometry of communications into the aerial tier. The units have identified this as a game changer for their ability to communicate and significantly improve their ability to see a common operational picture of the battle space.” #DeliverArmy2030 #DesignArmy2040 #NetworkCFT #TEM12 U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command I PEO Aviation I U.S. Army DEVCOM Aviation & Missile Center I U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence I Army Futures Command I PEO C3T I U.S. Army DEVCOM C5ISR Center I US Army

Hello LinkedIn community, I wanted to share a valuable lesson from my time in the Marine Corps that has been incredibly helpful in the civilian world. It’s an acronym we used: BAMCIS. In the military, this process is crucial for mission success. But I’ve found it’s just as applicable in the office setting. Whether you’re launching a new project, planning a meeting, or strategizing for the next quarter, BAMCIS can guide you. Begin the planning - Start by setting clear objectives. What do you want to achieve? Arrange the reconnaissance - Gather the necessary information. What do you need to know to succeed? Make the reconnaissance - Analyze the information you’ve gathered. What does it tell you? Complete the plan - Based on your analysis, finalize your plan. How will you achieve your objectives? Issue the plan - Communicate your plan to all relevant parties. Who needs to know what? Supervise - Oversee the execution of your plan and make adjustments as necessary. How can you ensure success? By following these steps, you can navigate challenges more effectively and lead your team to success. So, next time you’re faced with a task, remember BAMCIS. It’s not just for the military - it’s a roadmap to success in any setting.

Want to know one secret weapons of Israeli businesses: IDF Service. 🌟 Puzzled? Allow me to explain. Many veterans possess an deep sense of dedication to teamwork and good leadership. In essence, they are the embodiment of resilience, discipline, and cooperation. Military service in Israel is not just the three years of obligation. Throughout their entire career these soldiers get called up and need to quickly master team dynamics. They practice harnessing individual strengths, balance weaknesses, and work together to secure wins. And their ability to adapt, strategize, and execute plans is essential in high-pressure situations. Their training instills in them a strong command of dynamic roles – leading when necessary, following when needed, all while keeping their eyes firmly on the mission. When given the right environment and leadership, our veterans help create a spirit that ignites others, uniting co-workers towards achieving a shared goal. The result? Enhanced teamwork, improved morale, and an overall winning mentality — not just out in the field, but in the office as well. 💥✨ What are your thoughts? #BeCourageous and share - How does military service impact teamwork and leadership?
