I ❤️ my job! Over my career, I've had some great gigs but my current role leading #talentacquisition for Vertical Aerospace, has so far, been the most challenging, enjoyable and fulfilling. Here's why... - every day, I have the opportunity to work and collaborate with some of the most bright, creative and brave people (absolutely laser focused on our mission to #pioneer #electricflight and change how we think about travel). The drive and resilience of the teams here in Vertical is the best I've seen. And it has to be, after all, we are striving to achieve something that has never been done before, so the challenges are some of the hardest we will likely face in our careers. - each time I speak with candidates, whether that be at an exec level, mid manager or graduate level, I am blown away from the sheer excitement these individuals have towards what we're trying to achieve at Vertical with our fully-electric VX4 aircraft. You can't help but feed off their energy and curiosity, and want to do what ever it takes to bring them into the organisation, as you just know they will have a fantastic impact. - the appetite for change and to do things differently - let's face it, the world is changing at pace and whether we like it or not, we must adapt our thinking and move fast - I feel encouraged by the appetite to experiment and test new avenues or technologies, all at pace! Not only does this help to unlock more value for the business, it offers a great space for learning and pushing boundaries. - the value I see our leaders place on having the right #talent! It's refreshing to work alongside leaders who understand the importance of "talent", and see our ability to attract and win talent as our main driver for future success. And what's more, not just thinking about the product, but also passionate about wanting to build an organisation where people from all backgrounds can contribute and thrive 💚 🥇 #Inspired? Maeve is partnering with Pratt & Whitney Canada to design the M80 hybrid-electric 80-seater regional aircraft. The M80 aims to deliver the performance of a jet with the cost efficiency of a turboprop, boasting a range of up to 1,200 nautical miles (2,222 kilometers). The developers aim to reduce fuel consumption and emissions by up to 40% compared to benchmark regional jets, while maintaining comparable speeds and altitudes. Maeve targets entry into service by 2032. Pratt & Whitney Canada, a Raytheon Technologies company, brings over four decades of experience in providing propulsion solutions to the regional aviation market. Anthony Rossi, Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at Pratt & Whitney Canada, commented, “Reaching the ambitious goals of reducing emissions and making aviation more sustainable will depend on combined efforts to accelerate technology innovation and drive collaboration across our industry. It’s in this spirit that we will collaborate with Maeve, leveraging our growing expertise in sustainable propulsion technologies.” Martin Nuesseler, Chief Technology Officer at Maeve, added, “As a clean sheet design, the performance and efficiency of the Maeve M80 will be a game changer for the regional aviation market, combining advanced aerodynamics and a disruptive propulsion technology. Working together with Pratt & Whitney Canada at this stage of the program will enable us to validate and optimize the design of the aircraft and hybrid-electric propulsion system, tapping into the full potential of this promising new technology.” Read the full update on our blog. #AvfoilNews #Maeve #PrattAndWhitneyCanada #HybridElectricAircraft #SustainableAviation #AviationInnovation #M80Aircraft #RegionalAviation #GreenAviation #FutureOfFlight #AerospaceTechnology #RaytheonTechnologies #CleanSheetDesign #EmissionReduction #AviationPartnership
