At Laiva Gold Mine in Finland, the team is committed to optimizing our gold recovery processes. The gold recovery process features two leaching circuits: high-grade and low-grade. Each low-grade tank has a capacity of 907 m³, while each high-grade tank holds 59 m³. Both circuits include mixing, leaching, and detox tanks, with ore residence times of approximately 20 hours for low-grade and 40 hours for high-grade. Our high-grade tanks treat ore with gold concentrations that can exceed 80 g/t, achieving recovery rates of up to 99%. In contrast, the low-grade circuit handles ore with around 0.7 g/t of gold, with a recovery rate of about 80%, giving an overall recovery of 89-90% Sorry about the poor sound but just as well as I called the tanks the wrong way around… for all my technical buddies that will put me straight! 0.7 g/t I will not do it with a cask agitation process that only has a small or large capacity because there is already a profitable and environmentally friendly processing method with the Heap Leach Pad system and used cyanide liquid which is used from high levels of ageration before it is carried out Detoxification can still be used to treat low levels in the heap leach pad system, just readjust the pH and increase the cyanide concentration. Many companies don't want to process low grades because they are mixed with overburden, dominant clay and dominant sulfide because they don't understand the processing.
I have worked on Leach and CIL Tanks in tropical climates and small temperature changes through the year. How does cold weather effect the leach process in the tanks?

3wGenerally the grades less than 1 gr/t are not proper for agitation leach process, it is better to send this ores to heap leaching process, the CAPEX of heap leaching is about 40% less than agitation leach, the opex also is about 50% less. With some new methods the recovery of heap leaching process also is about 80% ,it means same as agitation leach process in your case.
