Our "least international" clients are the Aussies 🇦🇺 , Italians 🇮🇹 and Spaniards 🇪🇸 We ranked 150 clients, here is where the most / least international business development strategies came from: BEST IN CLASS 😎 #1 Germans 🇩🇪 100% of our German clients are running international campaigns #2 Brits 85% 🇬🇧 #3 Singaporeans 80% 🇸🇬 AVERAGE PERFORMERS ✅ #4 French 65% 🇫🇷 #5 Swiss 60%🇨🇭 BELOW AVERAGE 😕 #6 Belgians 41% 🇧🇪 #7 Kiwis 40% 🇳🇿 NEEDS IMPROVEMENT 🚨 #8 Italians at 26% 🇮🇹 #9 Spaniards at 20% 🇪🇸 #10 Aussies at 18% 🇦🇺 I don't have an analysis of the reasons yet but here are some thoughts: - 100% of our Germany-based clients have an international strategy, biz dev kaisers 👑 - UK: opportunistic and ambitious, as always. No surprise here. - Singapore: that was expected given their local market size - French: doing surprisingly good although our accent is as good as our humility - Swiss and Belgian: I imagined them doing better due to their great language skills, small markets and openness - Spanish and Italians: is it just the language barrier or are there other reasons? - Aussies: at first, absolutely shocked by the number! But then... is it not expected given their relative geographical isolation and the lack of competitiveness re labour costs? Do you have any explanation for this ranking?

Mastering the Italian Language: A Key to Thriving in Milan's Corporate Scene I changed my corporate life last year, leaving the hustle and bustle of London for the equally hustly and bustly life in Milan! Cultural sensitivity is something to keep in mind if you want to work in a corporate environment in Italy. The two key factors include: —> Cultural Awareness: Being aware of and sensitive to Italian customs and traditions is important, especially for expatriates and international business partners. —> Language: While English is commonly used in multinational companies, proficiency in Italian is highly valued and can facilitate better communication and integration. By understanding and respecting local customs and traditions, while also honing your Italian language skills, you can significantly enhance your professional interactions and overall experience. #Milan #GlobalMobility #Careers #SocialNetworking

Top 5 Upsides to Taking an Overseas Assignment I had the joy and opportunity to take an overseas assignment to London for two years. It was a top highlight in my life and I learned many lessons. Our whole focus this week will be on overseas assignments starting with the top 5 upsides: 1. Exposes you to new and difficult challenges! It will be a step of faith. It will take courage, openness, and a willingness to change up EVERYTHING you know. All your habits, all your traditions and all your comforts. Some people thrive on that; others not so much. However I never regretted being challenged in those ways. 2. Exposes you to the big world out there! I cannot stress enough the benefit you will get from being exposed to tons of different people and cultures and languages and situations. How people globally strive to live and learn and succeed, many times with similar goals we all have, but just using different paths. 3. Exposes your skills to a new community Think of it like your own world concert tour. Having someone tell you about a Taylor Swift concert is a shadow of actually experiencing one yourself. Now think of the skills you bring to the table in the same way - a whole new community will be able to see the value you add and in turn, you will see they value THEY add. Which will lead to... 4. Exposes your profile to new leaders! There is no guarantee. However in my experience, it is as rare as the black swan event for an overseas assignment to be viewed anything but positively by leaders. You put your hand up to fill a gap, expand an office or solve a tension. And that will likely reveal some new pipelines of opportunity. 5. Exposes you to plain old-fashioned fun! Seriously - you will have a blast! Will it be smooth and perfect…absolutely not. But I can guarantee you will come away with highlights and stories that you will tell for years to come. Like the time I got on the wrong side of border security between Spain and Andorra...

Doing business in #Germany? Let’s talk etiquette—because first impressions matter! 🇩🇪 💡 Be punctual: In Germany, "fashionably late" isn't a thing. If you're running late, notify the relevant parties and provide an estimated time of arrival. 💡 Communicate directly: Germans appreciate clarity and honesty. Ask your questions and share your ideas confidently, but always with respect. 💡 Remain professional: Keep conversations formal and avoid personal topics.
