🌟What is an Individual Flexibility Arrangement?🌟 ✨ How does an IFA work?✨ An IFA allows for alternative arrangements that benefit both the employer and employee. However, an IFA cannot reduce or remove an employee’s entitlements. The employee must be better off overall, considering financial and personal circumstances. 🚀 What can an IFA do? 🚀 An IFA allows changes to certain clauses in awards or agreements. 🔧 What can be changed? 🔧 In awards, IFAs can vary: - Working hours - Overtime and penalty rates - Allowances - Leave loading In agreements, flexibility clauses specify what can be changed. 📝 How is an IFA made? 📝 Both employer and employee must genuinely agree 🤝. The agreement must be in writing, signed by both parties. If the employee is under 18, a parent or guardian must also sign. ❌ How can an IFA end? ❌ An IFA can be ended by mutual agreement or by giving appropriate notice—13 weeks for awards and up to 28 days for agreements.
