Fatherlessness is an issue deeply connected to crime rates. Data shows that fatherless children are 20x more likely to be incarcerated. After working with numerous incarcerated men, we’ve learned that many lacked a positive father figure. That is why the Jack Brewer Foundation has implemented faith-based prison programs like our Faith and Fatherhood Initiative, so that we may illuminate for these men the importance of fatherhood and give them the tools to break these generational cycles. https://lnkd.in/e3xvU4v4

This day 33 years ago, the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody released its Final Report with 339 recommendations. The criminal justice system has long been a site of systemic injustice for First Peoples.
