When it comes to Asset Management we need to work smarter not harder. Here's a great example of how to do exactly that. if you are in NSW and manage unsealed roads this is a must...
Matthew Burt and I are excited to share how Fulton Hogan are using data collected through a low cost mobile phone application to inform unsealed road maintenance programs. We've collected data across NSW, come and see if your council features! Fulton Hogan is also the Gold Sponsor of the conference - come and have a chat to us at our booth or anytime over the 2 days.

Delighted to be speaking alongside such a prestigious panel at what promises to be an inspiring event. Ahead of the change to the Family Procudure rules next month those family practitioners who haves sought to neatly side step out of court dispute resolution options will have to adapt to provide detailed information about all out of court processes. But what does it really mean to the client? Are they determined to litigate at all costs - or do they really want to be helped to achieve their own outcome or otherwise have someone, with proper time to consider all of the issues, provide a time and cost efficient adjudication? #familylaw #outofcourt #mediation #hybridmediation #arbitration #pFDR #neutralevaluation #thecertaintyproject #assent
🚨 SAVE THE DATE - BOOKING INFORMATION TO FOLLOW 🚨 Please consider joining us as, East Sussex Resolution and West Sussex Resolution host our annual Dispute Resolution Day. This year the event will take place at Plumpton Racecourse on 3 July 2024. We have a great line up of speakers and we would also like to take the opportunity to thank our event sponsors!

EY's Julia Ann Corkery speaking on Newstalk’s Breakfast Briefing yesterday morning about EY’s latest Global Mobility Consumer Index. The Index is based on over 20,000 respondents from 28 countries, providing vaulable insight into the EV landscape. The survey identifies a number of global challenges that the EV transition faces (including charging infrastructure, battery anxiety and what we're now seeing from the survery for first time - battery price replacement concern) which Julia Ann speaks to in an Irish context. It's very encouraging to see ZEVI and TII take steps to address these with the recent announcement of the 17 new high-powered recharging pools to be rolled out under this scheme on the National Road Network, part of the LDV Scheme #1. Take a listen to Julia Ann from around 16 minutes: https://lnkd.in/e6EP4rQR Shane Mac Sweeney Ferga Kane Julia Ann Corkery Conor Gunn Luke Hardcastle Shanna Collins Isaac Johnston Scott Lancaster Niall Brennan Asmita Anand Andrew McCabe Paul Curran, ACA, Adv Dip PPL
I was delighted to speak with Newstalks Shane Beatty on the Breakfast Briefing this morning about EYs latest Global Mobility Consumer Index and all things EVs While there is a journey to go for further mass adoption we have seen some significant steps made to address concerns especially with regards to charging infrastructure in Ireland. For example, the recent grant scheme run by Transport Infrastructure Ireland and funded by ZEVI which will result in up to 131 new high powered charging points across Ireland major road network. Investments such as these in infrastructure will foster and support further adoption of EV vehicles by the public. No innovation has shaped the Bay Area in the past 70 years more than BART; for all its imperfections, it remains a powerful riposte to the hegemony of automobiles. That's why I'm thrilled to be part of an April 12 panel at fearsome Wurster Hall titled "From There To Here: 50 Years of BART and UC Berkeley." BART director Rebecca Salzman is the moderator, and the rest of the panel is much smarter than me. Here's the info -- and if you care why aspirational planning is worth the trouble, please come by: https://lnkd.in/gFPadRGP

https://lnkd.in/gt7yv75r I never thought this was fit for public consumption. It was meant to be internal use only for sales training of our B&K people - but since my last post (about the audio CD) there were many requests to publish it on LinkedIn. So here it is. But before you watch it, let me put this all in context. This was 1990. B&K had finally fully entered the continuous machine health monitoring business after a multi million dollar development program in COMPASS. A bunch of B&K guys in Holland seemed to do very well at selling the system, so I flew down to Amsterdam and met with a Mr Henk Smith who led that group. I asked him how do you do it? His message to his customers was clear. "The cost of a false alarm and shutting down any process plant for no good reason was financially unacceptable!" So Henk's message was - "to avoid false alarms there are 10 things plant operators need to understand about vibration monitoring". So I wrote and published (boring) articles about those 10 concepts, presented (boring) papers all over the world etc etc . So why not hire my bandmates (who also worked at B&K at the time) to write a rap about those 10 concepts, make a CD, and while you are at it, make an MTV style video? PS (Actually - this is technically as relevant today as it ever was and ever will be).
