PRECAST FOCUS: HOW PRECAST CONCRETE IS MADE - Precast concrete is cast into a specific shape in a controlled environment at a PCI-Certified precast concrete plant. These prefabricated concrete products are then transported to the job site and erected by a PCI-Certified Erector. This entire manufacturing process can be divided into three main categories: Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production. Learn more: https://ow.ly/l2TS50R2LzJ #precastfocus #howprecastbuilds

In most recent construction projects, the initial cost, time, and environmental factors typically to take precedence. Now take the pavement below. It is the main entryway to the shipping/receiving area of a local steel manufacturer. It is heavily salted and abused and has typically been poured at 8" for the 30' x 30' section with rebar. Typically, the control joints are cut at 15' and the slab is replaced every few years when the joints eventually give up to the abuse. With Helix Steel, we replaced the 8" slab with a 10" slab with 31.5 lbs/yd3 (equivalent to two layers of #6 @ 12"). ❌ Was it cheaper? No. ❌ Did it reduce the A1-A3 carbon footprint? No. ✅ Did it reduce downtime for the plant? Yes ✅ Did it reduce the amount of time during the pour? Yes ✅ Did it eliminate the weakest part of the slab that has consistently failed? Yes ✅ Will it drastically reduce the overall concrete poured and carbon footprint in this area over the next decade or two? Yes Special thanks to Kent Companies for your ongoing support of Helix Steel. #helixsteel #buildbetter #buildwithstrength

Material science is where it is at!
Ever thought a concrete #pipe could do this? This is 100% concrete taking on tensile stresses better than steel. Would you believe it? Watch the video and read the following to decide. And it's not just pipe, but any form of concrete can be treated the same way. Contact us to find out more. Email is below. Not only can you watch the video but there are projects also for this patented technology from our Italian partners. For instance here are two: 1) the first Italian hyper-loop will be using the technology. They will save approximately 50% off their CAPEX costs instead of the steel tube previously proposed. #ElonMusk where are you? 2) A new water pipe main in #Florida experiences similar CAPEX savings: 50% less than the proposed multi-wrapped steel concrete composition. Plus this pipe will have a design life of 300 years... That's older than the USA is today. We know the pipe will still be there in 300 years, but will the USA? Wow, what great technology: light weight, flexible #concrete. Stronger and more versatile than steel! We are particularly interested in the example of the 300 year design life of the water pipe main being installed in #Florida. It's going to use this tech. This design life happens to be the same amount of time needed to store that tiny bit of material left over from converting 99.99% of the fuel from a Liquid Fission Thorium Burner (LTFB). After the 300 years those remnants are just dirt. Imagine containment domes too of gen III and older facilities (sic. #Chernobyl or #Zaporozhye). Fancy a light weight face-lift? Bouncy concrete might be the trick. What about other gen IV techs? Those economics would look great with reduced #CAPEX from more efficient design structures. Check out the video below. PS, and by the way, we'e confirmed with the technology owners that this applies to any concrete geometry. Not just "pipe" as seen in the video. It's truley remarkable stuff.
