Our team had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the ICDL Asia Digital Literacy Day 2024. The event drove key insights and expert voices on the importance of digital literacy in today's world. Our very own Malvin Ng, Senior Digital Solutions Manager, shared some of the best practices on digital literacy. Strengthening digital skills across age groups is essential to foster successful lifelong learning in the 21st century. We would like to thank our partner for this opportunity and look forward to more collaborations in the new year. #MCEducation #TheJoyofLearning #ICDLAsia #DigitalLiteracy

𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆, 𝗮 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week, from October 24th to 31st, highlights the importance of media and information literacy. And we know this is particularly critical for young people in the digital age, when technology and information is moving so quickly. That's why we support programs that help young people build their digital literacy, including using digital devices, recognising credible sources, protecting personal data, and engaging responsibly on social media. Many of our partners and alumni partners provide programs helping young people to gain these skills including: • Alannah and Madeline Foundation: DigiTalk hub, eSmart Digital Licence+, and Media Literacy Lab. • Digital Child: Resources for enhancing digital literacy. • ReachOut: Tools for navigating the digital world safely. • UNICEF Digital Education Initiatives: Digital education tools for inclusive learning. Take a look at the DigiTalk Hub a collaboration between the Alannah and Madeline Foundation and Telstra. https://lnkd.in/gKjWYJFc Digital literacy is essential for everyone to participate in society, access information, and make informed decisions. Technology is increasingly seen as an accelerator to provide multiple pathways for learning and education continuity - especially for hard-to-reach and vulnerable children. But all too often, technology products don't fit countries' needs or governments struggle to implement solutions that reduce inequities - rather than widening the digital divide. GPE Deputy CEO Charles North and Michael Trucano of The Brookings Institution's Center for Universal Education, explain how the new Global Reference Group on Technology for Education will offer expert advice and identify opportunities to enhance the current work of GPE partners in technology for education: http://g.pe/KZ3C50RPBvS #TransformingEducation
