Big day today at Bukit Canberra. We collaborated with Sembawang GRC and GROs, and our community partners such as JobStreetExpress, MCI Group Of Companies, ServiceSG, Northwest CDC, PA, and sisters and brothers from NTUC LearningHub to extend our presence in the heartlands. We launched a slew of initiatives which includes an online Heartland Jobs Portal and more upskilling courses specifically for jobseekers and residents in the north. We had the privilege of of Guest-of-Honour, Minister Ong Ye Kung, to witness the proceedings. For the career fair portion, 24 employers from various industries such as hospitality, F&B, retail, transport, engineering and so on were present to interview and hire jobseekers. I’m glad to share that around 520 jobseekers registered or walked-in to our first day of the career fair. 7 jobseekers were offered positions on the spot. We hope more jobseekers will be offered jobs on Day Two. In addition, we had close to 70 jobseekers who attended the morning workshop “Get Promoted!” where Crystal Lim-Lange from Forestwolf shared important insights on how to thrive in the era of AI and boost your chances of getting promoted Great job to the team who made everything happen!
