"RASTA" Roads Are Safer To All Way To Safer Roads “Together we can save thousands of lives.” Appreciate all efforts by so many Road Safety Professionals and officers Still needs to change the behavior of Road Users I suggest to all the Motor Cyclists to ride in the left most lane so that it is 1. Safer to Two-wheeler riders 2. Traffic flow will be smooth But, please be careful when changing the lane and don't forget 1. Give an indication by the indicators, if indicator is not functioning, please give hand signal 2. Give 3 to 4 seconds time 3. Check your mirrors if any vehicle is approaching, wait 4. If it's safe, then change lane. For doing all these, you need "Rear-View Mirrors" but few 1. Removes the Rear-View Mirrors 2. Changes the direction as shown in below Photo This causes two ways disturbance/distraction 1. You can't observe the traffic following 2. Always you will try to see your face, which causes distraction Please follow the traffic rules and be safe and keep others safe. A recent report has highlighted an increasing concern amongst motorists around the safety consequences of faded road markings. And with councils tightening their belts, there's less cash floating around to keep our roads in their best, most safe, condition. Road markings are the unsung heroes of the roads. They are crucial for safe driving, providing essential guidance and information to motorists. Their significance escalates during adverse weather conditions, where visibility is reduced, and the risk of accidents increases. There is also a legal question when it comes to faded markings. The responsibility falls on local authorities to ensure road markings are clearly visible, as mandated by various road traffic regulations. Faded line markings can lead to confusion, endangering both drivers and pedestrians. Read the article: https://buff.ly/3VgwBF7 #roadmarking #roadsafety #linemarkings

What are white diamonds around pedestrian crossings? White diamonds before pedestrian crossings indicate to drivers that they are approaching a pedestrian crossing. For pedestrians, they indicate whether it is safe to cross as shown in the picture. Vehicles take time to slow to a stop so if a vehicle has passed over the white diamond, it won't be able to stop if a pedestrian walks out onto the crossing. Since 2005, white diamonds have been optional for pedestrian crossings. This has led to pedestrians walking out onto crossings under the assumption that vehicles must stop regardless of how close to the crossing they are.. For drivers, always be vigilant and don't allow yourself to be distracted at any time. For pedestrians, use crossings, bridges or tunnels wherever possible to cross roads. Look both ways, don't step out if traffic is approaching. It is not necessary to wait for approaching traffic to stop if you can cross before it reaches the crossing. The number one rule for drivers and pedestrians alike is to be alert, vigilant and to be aware of everything around you. Keep safe. #traffic #transport #movement #pedestrian #walking #transportation #commute #health #safety #wellbeing #sustainable #business #community #newzealand #walk #pedestrians #law #safe #road #healthandsafety #awareness #sustainability #nz

With the new week fully underway, let's take a moment to talk about vehicle safety. Road safety is not just important for you and your loved ones, but for other road users and pedestrians, especially vulnerable ones like children. Remember, road safety starts at home, or rather, in your vehicle. Make sure to check your vehicle every day before you start your day - the one day you don't may be the day you need to the most. Stay safe out there! #roadsafety #vehiclesafety national highways poster #2LC #APC #couriers

🚶♂️ Pedestrians Are Part of the Road Too! 🚶♀️ As drivers, we often focus on other vehicles, but pedestrians deserve just as much attention. Whether it's a busy street or a quiet neighborhood, safety starts with being mindful of crosswalks and yielding when someone’s crossing. Pedestrians are often more vulnerable and need our caution. 🔑 Important reminders: 1. Slow down in areas with heavy foot traffic. 2. Be alert at intersections and crosswalks. 3. Give pedestrians the right of way—they have the same rights on the road as drivers! We often think of road safety in terms of drivers, but pedestrians play a crucial role in keeping our streets safe. When you're behind the wheel: 🔸 Be mindful of crosswalks 🔸 Always yield to pedestrians 🔸 Stay extra alert in busy areas A moment of caution can save a life. Even a momentary lapse in attention can put lives at risk. Let’s work together to make our roads safer for everyone—whether on foot or behind the wheel and commit to staying focused and making our streets safer for everyone. Remember: We all share the road. #PedestrianSafety #RoadSafety #DriveSafe #SharedResponsibility #StayAlert #EverydaySafetyMatters
