Giving back isn’t just an act of kindness, it’s a driving force for growth, both personally and professionally. Whether mentoring, volunteering, or simply helping, generosity helps us build deeper connections, inspire others, and strengthen our communities. GoGoosey is my friend's company. She creates a quick-drying onesie that means you don't have to dress and change your kids after the pool, swimming pool, or splash park. If you are a parent, this is an obvious Godsend for easily the worst part about taking your kids from a swim. But now she has launched a Kickstarter because adults (surfers, swimmers, paddleboarders, etc.) also can't be bothered to get changed after their sport. So here it is - the Kickstarter for her unique onesie for women (men's version comes later). Launching a new physical product line in a burgeoning business is incredibly difficult. Supporting this Kickstarter, basically by pre-ordering the onesie, will allow her to add a product line to the successful kid's products and help the business go to the next level. Attending Hestia’s Art is Freedom exhibition on 17th October was a powerful and unforgettable experience for our team at Ride For Freedom. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐇𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐲𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤! The exhibition was not only a celebration of resilience but also a testament to the strength of remedial programmes in transforming lives. 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 —service users who took part in our Freewheel session six months ago and are still riding. Now, they stood proudly on stage, sharing their journeys and inspiring everyone around them. As our project manager Vicky expressed, “𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒅𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒕𝒐 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒊𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔. 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏’𝒕 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆; 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝑨𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒂𝒅𝒐𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒋𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚, 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔.” We also had the pleasure of speaking with Hestia’s amazing team, who are as passionate and supportive of the Freewheel Programme as we are. They see the impact that Freewheel has on survivors: offering not only a cycling experience but a lifeline to self-worth, mental well-being, and independence. Finished my second 5K this year yesterday. Woo hoo! The Waldwick 5K supports more than two dozen nonprofits each year and attracts hundreds of people. I was delighted to be a part of it! My goal is to complete 3-4 5Ks this year in my attempt to rebuild a habit of jogging, connect with my local community and have fun. Yesterday, I wanted to best my first 5K time and really enjoy the race. I beat my first time by 3 min and smiled the entire race (vs grimmacing and grinding my teeth like the first one). Have you been pondering a goal and aren’t sure how to get started? If I can restart jogging after being away from it for a decade, you can, too! 💡1. Start small - choose a microstep to get going, something that you are totally capable of doing. I started with less than a mile and only 1-2 times a week so I wouldn’t get hurt or burn out. 👋 2. Tell a friend - get support from those around you. I told family and friends and their cheering helped me stay motivated. 🎉 3. Celebrate the wins - a pat on the back goes a long way towards reinforcing a habit. Choose something that feels great to you. For me, it’s as simple as watching a favorite show, a small treat or a massage after each race. “Brave the ocean to save children!” – Under this motto, the Initiatives-Cœur racing #boat is taking part in the world-famous Vendée Globe. The aim is not only to take part in the regatta, but also to raise awareness of the #charity organization Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, which funds life-saving heart operations for children. To ensure the quality of the boat, the engineers and designers used the #3DEXPERIENCE platform including its virtual twin technology. Building the boat virtually helps the team visualize the impact of individual parts in the boat, identify the consequences of changing parts and ultimately improve performance and save costs. The virtual twin also serves as a troubleshooting aid during the race, so that the team on land can guide the skipper through the repairs by remote control.
