Cross-Class Community Discussion Opportunity Do you eat? Do you have thoughts about food access in the Upper Valley? Do you purchase groceries? Do you want to talk to your neighbors about class and food? Do you make or grow or provide food? Do you want to hear what others have to say about the issue? Seeking participants from all walks of life for a community conversation* about food access in the Upper Valley and all of the things that go into it! Free soup and grilled cheeses will be served. Tuesday, December 17th, 5-7:30 PM, Kilton Library Community Room (80 Main St, West Lebanon, NH 03784) RSVP Required – Sign up at: https://lnkd.in/eP9v6_kj *Cross-Class Community Conversations are facilitated group discussions intended to build trust and connections throughout the community, foster learning and understanding, and provide an opportunity to hear and speak to people we may not otherwise. The conversation aims to explore neighbors’ thoughts and feelings about food, poverty, and wealth in the Upper Valley, and is NOT intended to find immediate solutions to food insecurity. Rather, we hope that the connections and empathy we establish will contribute to creating better solutions moving forward. These conversations are supported by a network of local organizations (LISTEN, Upper Valley Haven, Vital Communities, & APD) in collaboration with Think Again Training & Consulting.

❗ Don't miss Daniel Wexler's workshop during the The Alliance for a Hunger Free New York's 4th annual Food Summit! 💡 Dan will be hosting an interactive session on Food As Medicine Interventions and #socialdeterminantsofhealth. The session goal is to illustrate how--in addition to income--other social determinants of health pose a barrier to food security; consider the diversity of #FoodisMedicine (FIM) treatment options; and understand the different types of benefits each solution offers, and what interventions might work best for different patients.

In response to food insecurity in the Woodhill community during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sharon Stone and former FCPS colleagues created the Woodhill International Market. The initiative offers bi-weekly grocery "shares", providing fresh produce on a sliding scale from $15 to $40. Families pay what they can afford, ensuring access to nutritious food regardless of financial situation. The program helps ease the burden of food costs while supporting community wellness. Filmed and edited by me!
