Yesterday was our Indy Baby Shower and we are in total awe of the love that was poured into expectant families. Emma Kelly and her husband Ryan had a dream to give Indy moms a JOYFUL pregnancy experience - it’s all they wanted to bring love, joy and empowerment to local moms’ pregnancy journeys. Last night it all came together and was beyond our wildest dreams. Everyone left with a minimum $100 worth of essentials and MANY walked away with incredible raffle prizes like top of the line strollers and bassinets. Companies like The Honest Company and Carters Inc. sent hundreds of baby items. Moms and partners left with even more - empowerment from our Indy Ambassador Takeisha Smith, knowledge on urgent pregnancy and postpartum warning signs from Dr. Neil Mandsager (who came all the way from DSM!), and of course education on *how* and *why* to monitor movements from Emma + Takeisha and State Expansion Director Sarah Coleman, MPH at the Count the Kicks table.
