Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)’s Post

“This isn’t just about vaccinations. It’s about working together to prevent a health crisis from getting worse.” A measles outbreak swept through Rokero, Sudan, that affected over 1,000 people—mostly children under 5 years old—earlier this year. To control the outbreak and protect vulnerable lives, we launched a vaccination campaign with support from community leaders. Our goal was to spread awareness of the vaccination campaign by travelling to remote villages and setting up clinics in whatever public spaces were available, like schools, markets, and health facilities. Routine immunization programs, nutritional support, and investments in health care infrastructure are critical to preventing future outbreaks. #TalkAboutSudan https://lnkd.in/e_MJYzER
