Prior Authorizations (process of getting prior approval from insurance companies to pay for medications/procedures) had always been a pain for patients and providers. However, its a measure to prevent unnecessary procedures/medications. Here is a good article from Robert Longyear describing a balanced view on prior authorizations and how it needs to be evolved to ensure the patients are not delayed any necessary interventions. https://lnkd.in/g6bCQ4pn #priorauthorization #valuebasedcare #priorauth #healthpolicy
So, you hate prior authorizations?

Do you adhere to your treatment regimen? Studies show that 50% of patients do not complete their dosage. This leads to poor treatment outcomes, higher hospitalization rates and increased healthcare costs. Always finish your prescribed drugs and #BeOnTheSafeSide #insurance #healthinsurance

#CMS released national health expenditure data yesterday. Our analysis is here https://lnkd.in/gq9Eeqxc. In a nutshell, 2023 saw a significant increase in public spending, almost entirely due to #Medicare. Private spending (dental insurance + patient out-of-pocket) declined slightly. The financing mix continues to shift over time.

Thank you, Marko, for sharing these insightful findings from #CMS on national dental expenditures. The shift in financing—driven by a significant rise in #Medicare spending—underscores a major transformation in #dental care delivery. At Enable Dental, we’re uniquely positioned to ride this growth wave as we expand across the country, serving the rapidly growing Medicare and #Medicare Advantage (MA) populations like no other DSO can. What sets us apart? 1- We combine B2B partnerships with direct patient care delivery, bringing comprehensive dental services to patients where they are—whether in their homes, assisted living facilities, or other care settings. 2- Our model is uniquely tailored to meet the needs of Medicare and MA plans, which are experiencing unprecedented enrollment growth and increasing demand for accessible dental care. Recent data speaks for itself: • In 2023, Medicare dental spending accounted for $3 billion of the $4 billion increase in U.S. dental expenditures. • Enrollment in MA plans is surging, with projections showing 64% of Medicare beneficiaries enrolled by 2034. Enable Dental’s innovative service delivery model, validated by our recent Series B investment (press release coming soon), positions us as a leader in this space. We’re not just responding to these trends—we’re driving change by ensuring seniors and underserved populations have access to high-quality dental care. 2025 is going to be a transformative year for Enable Dental. Stay tuned as we continue to expand and revolutionize dental care delivery for the populations that need it most. Let’s keep the conversation going—how do you see the financing mix and care delivery models evolving in the dental space? #Medicare #DentalCare #EnableDental #InnovationInHealthcare #DSOLeadership #MedicareAdvantage #Growth American Dental Association NADP

Medicare Part B medical insurance mainly covers doctors’ visits and outpatient services. Eligible individuals pay monthly premiums for the benefit. The premiums for the current year depend on the modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) reported on your Form 1040 for two years earlier. For 2025, most covered persons will pay the base monthly Part B premium of $185. Higher-income individuals pay a surcharge on top of that. For 2025, a surcharge applies if you: 1) filed unmarried for 2023 and reported MAGI above $106,000 that year or 2) filed jointly for 2023 and reported MAGI above $212,000 that year.
