Restricted imports for June For the month of June, the Namibian Agronomic Board (NAB) has designated specific agricultural products under closed and open border categories as part of their special controlled products initiative, Simonis Storm (SS) says in its monthly agricultural report. The closed border measure is designed to protect local producers by reducing foreign competition and promoting domestic production, SS explains. The open border measure, on the other hand, is followed due to domestic production shortfalls or high demand that local supply alone cannot meet. These measures reflect the NAB’s strategic approach to maintaining a stable and sustainable agricultural sector in Namibia, SS says. #namibia #trade #agriculture #imports #trade #borderrestrictions
