A few weeks ago, I had the exciting opportunity to be interviewed on regional television! 🎥 During the interview, I highlighted the importance to evaluate problematic social media use with meaningful criteria—focusing on the real impact it has on people’s lives, their surroundings, and their ability to control the behavior. This kind of conversation helps us move beyond superficial measures and focus on what truly matters, especially from a clinical perspective. Curious to know more? I was asked an interesting question at my interview at. It was to sort an array with an complexity of O(n) which I said is not possible. The question was You have sorted array, lets say : [-9,-2,-1,10,12], square each element of array and return the sorted array too. I was unable to do but he insisted me to in O(n). So At last, I did square of each element and putted in TreeSet with reference type SortedSet and by using for each loop copied each element into previous array and returned it from the method (Kuchh samajh nahi aa raha tha to socha chal ye kr dete hai jo hoga dekha jayega 🤣 ). Interviewer gave me 2 test case to check the output and they did not say anything he pushed me towards another question. Please give me your ideas and well a way to do it if you know or if it is possible to do in O(n) complexity. Yeshwanth Chintaginjala

Stripping jargon from your media interview or panel prep isn't dumbing down. It's wising up because you are removing ambiguity of understanding for the non-experts in the audience. Or, to put it another way, do you want to leave it up to someone else to decide for themselves what you mean? Or just ignore you altogether because they don't understand? If you are talking to the media to reach the five people who know as much about the topic to you, you picked the wrong conduit.

Small talk…no not the programming language… This is the number one topic in thousands of interviews that has the lowest value and causes the most uneasiness with candidates. Guess what…it’s also the topic that can create loads of unconscious bias. So instead of asking about the candidate’s hobbies, get started on evaluating their experience and skill! #hiring #bias #interviewintelligence #hirebetter #startuplife #product #engineering #leadership #leanstartups #entrepreneurship
