We had the opportunity not only to present our latest Technologies, but also to demonstrate our commitment to Digitalization in Orthopedics. 💻 Visitors were particularly impressed by our mediCAD Mixed Reality Solution, which offered a fascinating glimpse into the future of Medical Planning and intraoperative control. Our browser-based solution mediCAD Web and the transition from 2D to 3D Planning also met with great interest. Another highlight was the extension of our MR Software to new end devices - a development that not only opens up new perspectives for us, but also brings with it exciting challenges for the future. The positive feedback from experts, doctors and partners confirms that we are on the right track. Robotics is transforming the landscape of orthopaedic surgery, offering precision, efficiency, and faster recovery for patients. However, it does come with some challenges, such as increased surgical time, the need for CT scans, and potential pin-related complications—issues that future models may hopefully address. While evidence of robotics' benefits is accumulating, the jury is still NOT out on its long-term implications. Apart from robotics, the integration of AR technology in surgeries further enhances precision by providing surgeons with real-time 3D overlays and insights during procedures. This results in better outcomes, and a more personalized approach to patient care. As technology continues to advance, the future of orthopedics promises not just innovation but life-changing possibilities.
